How to setup Multi Factor Authentication (MFA)
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) helps protect your college account when you sign in. It’s quick to set up, easy to use.
Follow this guide or watch the video to get started and keep your account safe.
What you will need!
- Your college username and password
- A Smartphone or mobile phone capable of receiving SMS or Phone Call?
- Internet Access
Step 1 – Accessing the MFA Setup Page
- Scan the QR Code or visit https://aka.ms/MFASetup
- Sign in using your college email address and password

Step 2 – Choosing your Authentication Method
Authenticator App
(Recommended)
- Download an authenticator app (e.g., Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator)
- Scan the QR code displayed on the setup page
- Enter the verification code from the app
Phone Call
- Enter your phone number
- Answer the call and follow the instructions
SMS/Text Message
- Enter your phone number
- Enter the verification code sent to your phone
Step 3 – Complete the Setup
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup
- Save your recovery codes in a safe place
- Click “Finish” or “Save”

Lost your phone?
Use your recovery codes or contact Digital Services
App stopped working?
Reinstall the app and rescan the QR code
Not receiving phone call or SMS?
Double check your phone number is correct and try again. Make sure you are in an area with good mobile signal
