Canteen, Cafes & Shop
The college has canteens on both campuses where you can buy and enjoy breakfast or lunch. Each campus also features a training restaurant (Zest) which from time to time will serve food.
Dumfries campus also has a costa cafe on level one as well as a shop selling healthy snacks & confectionery, hot and cold drinks, sandwich meal deals, grab and go salads and a selection of stationery items.
If you have any allergies you can always ask a member of staff for allergen information or check the back of the packaging.
Dumfries Canteen
8am – 2pm Mon – Fri (During Term Time)
Breakfast: 8:15am – 10:15am
Lunch: 11:45am – 2pm
You’ll find our welcoming Campus Kitchen, on the ground floor level (Zero) at our Dumfries Campus.

Lunch offers a choice to suit everyone, from heart warming soups, freshly cooked main courses, including a healthy option, self-help salad bar, and ever popular snack items including pasta, noodles and curries. If you have any special dietary requirements we would be delighted to discuss them with you.
Between Monday 12th and Friday 23rd December 2022, we will be offering free Soup and a roll to all students at lunchtime, Monday – Friday from 12pm.
Stranraer Campus

Costa Cafe

At our Cafe, located on level one, you can enjoy a delicious latte, cappuccino, speciality tea, or indulgent hot chocolate prepared by our Costa trained baristas.
Chilled drinks, sandwiches, rolls, baguettes, boxed salads, tray bakes, scones and cakes are also available to complement your hot beverage. Meet your friends and enjoy your refreshments in this relaxing environment!
Zest Training Restaurants

At Zest we give our students at both campuses the opportunity to train in a real life working environment, this allows them to ‘practice’ the job roles they are hoping to be employed in. Our students are led by Lecturers to take on roles within the kitchen and restaurant which meet their course objectives.
Delicious lunch & express services are offered to staff and students at both campuses during term time. The students produce and serve a three course lunch menu each week. The express service offers a range of tasty take away options.
The Hospitality staff and Students are looking forward to welcoming you to dine with them this term.

Student Foodbank
Our Dumfries student food bank is located in room 1012b within The Point (one of the private offices – it has a Food Bank sign on the door). Stranraer’s is based in the SA Office.
If you are struggling you can pop in & take what you need for free, you do not require any form of referral to access this.
If anyone would like to donate to the food bank, donations can be left within The Point (Dumfries) or SA office (Stranraer).
