What to do if your plans have changed?

Changed your mind about your course? Don’t worry – we’re here to help.

The steps you need to take depend on whether you want to change your course or withdraw your application completely.

I want to apply for a different course

If you have already applied for a full-time course, contact the Admissions Team before making another application:

Changing to a course in the same subject area

Admissions may be able to transfer your existing application to the new course. Contact the team first and let them know which course you would like to change to.

You do not need to withdraw your application unless Admissions asks you to.

Changing to a different subject area

If the new course is in a different subject area, you can:

Withdraw your current application through the Applicant Portal.
Submit a new full-time application for your preferred course.

If you are unsure whether you need to withdraw, contact Admissions before making any changes.

I want to withdraw my application

We understand that plans can change. Please let us know as soon as possible if you no longer wish to continue with your application.

You can either:

Email admissions@dumgal.ac.uk with a brief explanation; or
Withdraw your application through the Applicant Portal.

How to Withdraw through the Applicant Portal

Sign in to the Applicant Portal using the details you used when applying.
On the Applicant Home Page, scroll down to Application Summary.
Find the application you want to withdraw and select Withdraw.
Complete the short form and confirm your request. You will be asked why you are withdrawing. We only use this information for reporting and to help improve our services.
Select Withdraw to send your request to the Admissions Team.

Admissions will process your request and email you when your application has been withdrawn.
