Install and use Microsoft Teams
Teams is used for online classes, meetings and communicating with your lecturers, tutors and classmates.
As a student, you can use Teams with your College email address and password. You can use Teams in your web browser without installing anything, or download the app to your computer, tablet or phone.
If you’re installing Teams for the first time, choose your device below and follow the steps.
Install Teams on a desktop or laptop
You can install Microsoft Teams on a Windows PC or Mac.
- Download Microsoft Teams
Go to the Microsoft Teams download page and choose the version for your computer. - Open the downloaded file
Once the download has finished, open the file and follow the instructions on screen to install Teams. - Open Microsoft Teams
- On Windows, you can find Teams from the Start menu.
- On a Mac, open Launchpad or search for Teams using Spotlight.
- Sign in with your college email address and password
Enter your College email address, for example 0123456@student.dumgal.ac.uk, and your College password.
Install on iPhone or iPad (IOS)
- Open the App Store
Search for “Microsoft Teams” - Install Microsoft Teams
Select Get to download and install the app. - Open the Installed App
Find the installed app on your screen and tap to open it. - Sign in with your college email address and password
Enter your college email address e.g. 0123456@student.dumgal.ac.uk and password.
4. Install Teams on Android
- Open the Google Play Store
Search for “Microsoft Teams” - Install Microsoft Teams
Select Install to download the app. - Open the Installed App
Find the installed app on your screen and tap to open it. - Sign in with your college email address and password
Enter your college email address e.g. 0123456@student.dumgal.ac.uk and password.
