DGSA Vice Presidential Elections – Voting Now Open

Voting is now open for the DGSA 2026/27 Vice Presidential elections.You can now cast your vote for who you would like to represent you as Vice President.

Above & Beyond Awards – Registration is open

The Above and Beyond Awards are taking place on Thursday 28th May. Lunch will be available from 12:30pm, with the awards ceremony beginning at 1:30pm. The event will be held at the UWS campus, and we would love to see as many people there as possible to celebrate the achievements of our students and staff. Complete the registration form below to confirm your attendance and provide any dietary or accessibility requirements.

Nominations are also still open for the Above and Beyond Awards until Monday 25th May at 12pm, so there is still time to recognise students and staff who have gone the extra mile. If you’d like to nominate someone, you can do this using our nomination form

SAAS Student Funding Now Open for Applications!

Going to college or uni this year? Apply to SAAS for tuition fees, student loans, grants and bursaries.
Apply early and have your funding ready from day one.

Meningitis: Know the Signs. ACT FAST

Recent reports of a meningitis outbreak in Kent are a reminder of how serious this illness can be.

There is currently no evidence of increased risk in Scotland, but meningitis can affect teenagers and young adults, so it is important to know the symptoms and make sure you are up to date with your vaccinations.

Student Association

We are based in leisure area, Dumfries and Room G35A in Stranraer and represent all students at DGC.

SA President: Honor Gibson,
SA Vice Presidents:  Karen McIntosh (Dumfries) and Adam Harvey (Stranraer).

Your class will elect a class rep; they will work closely with the student association to ensure your voice is heard.

Active Campus

Bus Travel

Free College Bus – Available for all students with a valid physical Student ID card.

Free bus travel for under 22s – Use your NEC card to travel free on other buses.

Travel reimbursement – Full-time bursary students aged 22+ may be able to claim back costs for other bus travel.
